E-learning 2.0 experiments

I am testing some Web 2.0 technology, that has not been created for e-learning. My students are multimedia designer student’s.

E-learning 2.0 classromm or learning portal

E-learning 2.0 Wiki – notice that you can see news from the Wiki in the learning portal.

Next thing I am considering is of course Ning social network . But we are not quite ready for that just yet.

What else could we use, any suggestions?

Make your academic essays freely available, and become world famous.

Rasmus Bjørk wrote an academic essay about an old question: “If the Universe is filled with life then why have we earthlings never met an extraterrestrial alien?”  In short Rasmus’ work showed that the aliens simply could not have had time to explore our galaxy. But from a marketing and Web 2.0 perspective the interesting thing is that Rasmus uploaded his paper as a preprint to the open acces online archive ArXiv.org, where scientists and everyone else can freely read and download 400,000 research papers.
