Adobe’s new searchable SWF library should make things better for flash with regards to SEO. But researh by J. Nielsen shows that when looking at Search Engine Result Pages are going truly going for the top placement

51% click on nr. 1 position in the SERP.
16% click on nr. 2 position in the SERP.
6% click on nr. 3 position in the SERP.

So any tiny little detail that can make your site up to the number one placement can be of great importance. The fact that swf files have become visible to Google, is a long, long, long way away from making .swf files the preferred choice for anybody looking for that number one spot in the SERP’s.
